The Sirmione Side Table is a compact sculptural gem designed by Sauro Melchiorri, offering a perfect distillation of the collection's grand aesthetic into a versatile accent piece. Conceived as a functional sculpture, it brings the evocative power of Italian natural stone into the most intimate corners of a contemporary interior. Carved from exquisite Breccia Blue marble, featuring its characteristic deep blue-grey mineral veins that create a natural, painterly effect on each surface.
The design follows a primitive-modern approach, with a solid, monolithic presence. Its soft, irregular edges are inspired by the lake-shore rocks of Sirmione, eroded and smoothed by time and water.
Hand-finished to achieve a matte, silk-like texture, the surface is designed to be touched, enhancing the sensory experience of the cold, dense stone.
