Positano

console

Console | Positano Rosso Venere Collection by MelchiorriStudioGallery
The Positano console perfectly embodies the picturesque cliffs of Positano, with its rugged elegance and peaceful presence. Inspired by this village on the Amalfi coast, the console is a wholly unique design piece that exudes sophistication and craftsmanship. Where it combines rough textures and jagged lines with smooth finishes, it recalls the iconic architecture of Villa Malaparte as seen in Jean-Luc Godard’s 1963 film Le Mepris. That same blissfully rustic atmosphere is felt in the Positano console, its bush-hammered finish underlying a rugged beauty. Entirely carved from the last block of an old quarry, the console’s originality is deeply tied to its unique surface, which is hand-crafted with the intention of eliciting the swirling red tones of the marble. This beautiful finish powerfully evokes the majesty of Positano’s cliffs and terraces while imbuing the work of art with its own unique history.
